For many years, I sweated through free and fee-paid speaking engagements until the late Rosita Perez, one of the most revered and respected professional speakers in the National Speakers Assn, gave me this advice and forever ended my bouts of Stage Fright. She said, <em>"never let the messenger (you, the speaker) detract from your message. Your audience came to hear your content (presentation substance) so don't distract them. Just deliver!" </em>It worked. Another suggestion: buy and read Bert Decker's book, titled, "You Must be Believed to be Heard." A certain amount of Stage Fright is good. It forces you to prepare and to give your audience your best presentation.

Hi Gordie,
like the bit about listening for the key phrases, it's a pity so many sales people do not.
SPIN selling great book, in fact I've written a summary of it on my website.
